Hello 1970 EarlyBay Deluxe

Hello again! The need for a bus was getting strong and after seeing lots busses I finally found one. I've seen so much busses lately... a lot of rusty bondoed busses and priced as if they're made of gold! I wanted something with a reasonable price and a good driver. That's why I skipped the splitscreens and went for an earlybay. 

So here it is, a Deltagreen 1970 Deluxe. Found in Fresno California and brought to me by a great English guy.

Le Bugshow Spa 2015

ILe Bugshow 2015 just rocked again. EdRaket did a great job cruisin' to Spa, about 800km total distance.

Bugs, bugs, bugs

Hi! After having sold the '65 Karmann Ghia convertible (somehow the need to finish this project abruptly came to an end, some high class car restorer is now finishing it) I needed another project. I wanted a patina Volkswagen T2a Westy bus but finding a nice and affordable one isn't easy nowadays as everybody wants that...

So last year I bought this 1960 Volkswagen bug for the meanwhile to attend some VW shows and search for a bus...

Red Hot Seats

Little update! Doing some upholstry. I changed the brown seats to red seats. Nothing wrong with the brownies but I prefered the new red colour!

Freezzr's 1965 Karmann Ghia Convertible

While searching for a nice Porsche project I stumbled upon 'the other favorite' and went for it as I couldn't find an affordable and doable Porsche project in a short time.

My new ride is a Januar 1965 Karmann Ghia Convertible. I always liked the looks of a Karmann Ghia, especially when they're nicely detailed, slammed, Fuchsed, black and a convertible... The birth-certificate says it's original a black car with a red interior. And that's what it's going to be. The former owner already bought a new interior, new engine, new vert roof, sheetmetal etc. so that was a great start for me ;)

Project Update

Well a little update from here... I ditched the idea from buying a nice Porsche 912 project. The 912 from the States I wrote about earlier turned out to be a one dollar paintjob-oil-leaking-rustbucket! After seeing a lot of 912's it just turned out that it was going to be a hell of a job finding a nice projectcar.

Sooooo..... Back to aircooled VW's then ;) I think I'll have a nice car update soon...

Fuchs Wheels

Some real nice Fuchs wheel where delivered yesterday. I always loved the looks of these wheels...so with the 912 coming I had a reason to buy some of these 'real deal rims'!

Porsche

As the Deluxe bus got sold I was on the hunt for another project. VW beetles are great, already had a T2, and then I started dreaming of Karmann Ghia Lowlights and Porsches... One day I was at a classic car shop where they had the Karmann and the Porsche side by side. I fell in love with the Porsche... Inspired by people like Magnus Walker I started searching for a Porsche 911 or 912.

Finally I found a great looking Porsche 912 which triggered me with it's flawless design, interesting flat4 engine and superb driving. Right now it's getting shipped from the States to the Netherlands... In the meanwhile I'm on the hunt for nice parts to fit the 912...

An idea on how I like a Porsche 912...

Deluxe Bed

Fixed a bed in the Deluxe bus today. I wanted to keep the stock look with seats and the walkthrough, but I also wanted to sleep in the bus... First put the 2/3 seat to the side...then I took a piece of wood, put a hinge in the middle so it can be folded in two to fit on the rear luggagefloor when driving. I made the wooden plank to fit between the walkthrough and the full rear seat and with the use of two Ikea boxes (ideal for storage) and a kids matras, the bed is ready...
